the green in the blue...


Blue enamors me, and so does Jaipur's famed blue pottery. Blue pottery has persian origin and traveled with Mughals to India. It has a time-consuming process but the results are excellent. This craft now has the Geographical Indications (GI) status that will save its uniqueness and protect the artisans from losing business to cheaper versions available elsewhere.

I picked up these beautiful planters from Jaipur that now adorns my living space.

    These are so pretty pots.i would pot my extra water lilies in these pots and would love the colors.

    I especially like the dark blue one with the beautiful flower motifs. I would like to put in indoors with my money plant in it.

    @Catherine: Thanks for stopping by. Quite a few designs are available now, and I fall for hand-crafted stuff. I am usually lost when I visit blue pottery artisans to pick up some of their products. I think I'll end up becoming a hoarder someday :)

    I think the green in the blue is perfect. Shades of blue enamor me also-- in the kitchen and in the garden. Show us later what you plant in them.

    I absolutely love the colour blue as well. My bedroom walls are painted a dark, cool, soothing blue.
